We are hiring! Blockchain Engineer

At Alastria we are looking for a Blockchain Engineer passionate about technological innovation and eager to face new challenges. This position is key for the development and implementation of blockchain solutions in large European projects. If you have a technical background (computer engineering, telecommunications, or similar), programming experience and knowledge of blockchain technologies, this opportunity is for you!

 

Main tasks:

  • Design, develop and implement blockchain and digital identity solutions (SSI) that meet the technical and business requirements of the European projects in which we participate.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to define system architectures, protocols and algorithms.
  • Participate in the integration of blockchain technologies with existing systems and processes.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the blockchain field.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and guidelines for users and developers.
  • Help companies in the ecosystem to develop their blockchain projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or engineering in computer science, telecommunications or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in software programming (preferably NodeJs, Java and/or Python).
  • Languages: English (C1 level). Ability to participate in technical meetings in English.
  • Dedication: full time. Availability to work preferably at Alastria’s offices (Madrid), with the option of telecommuting, depending on the specific needs of the activities (1 or 2 days a week in remote mode).

 

It will be a plus:

  • Understanding of cryptography, smart contracts, consensus algorithms and blockchain protocols.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in digital identity: Verifiable Credentials, DIDs, OpenID Connect, etc.
  • Practical experience with programming languages such as Solidity.
  • Experience with blockchain development tools such as Truffle, Hardhat, Remix, etc.
  • Experience working with EVM blockchain platforms: Ethereum, Polygon, etc.
  • Personal skills: Ability to work in a team, effective communication skills, results orientation, and adaptability to fast evolving environments.
