Blockchain Awards 2026 – Finalists and official categories
WE HAVE THE FINALISTS FOR THE 2026 BLOCKCHAIN AWARDS!
Following an intensive evaluation process, the shortlisted projects have now been selected across the four categories of the fourth edition of the Blockchain Awards. The judging panel will now carry out a second round of assessment to select the winners, and Alastria members can also play a part in the final decision by voting here until 31 October at 6.00 pm.
FINALISTS BY CATEGORY
The Alastria 2026 Blockchain Awards recognise the use of blockchain technology in the following categories:
BEST BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT IN DECENTRALISED DIGITAL IDENTITY
CAEs_Optimisation of Energy Saving Certificates
Sybol
Sybol and Repsol are piloting the digitisation of Energy Saving Certificate files using decentralised digital identity. Every participant in the process – including customers, installers, verifiers and administrators – has an identity and a corporate wallet from which they can issue, share and validate verifiable credentials. This reduces the need for paper documents, emails and manual validations, whilst preventing errors, duplication and the need for corrections throughout the entire process.
BerpIA Academy
WAVEXT
BerpIA Academy is a management platform for training centres, implemented at the University of Jaén for around 8,000 users. It brings together enrolment, academic management, the virtual classroom, payments and certification into a single system. Each qualification, diploma or micro-credential is automatically issued as a verifiable credential anchored on the blockchain, which the student stores in their digital wallet and which any European employer can verify in seconds by scanning a QR code.
AETHERIA
Izertis
AETHERIA gives citizens back control of their medical records by combining decentralised digital identity with artificial intelligence. The AI converts any medical report – whether on paper or as a PDF – into the international healthcare standard, and the hospital issues it as a verifiable credential that the patient stores in their digital wallet. This allows them to decide what to share, with whom and for what purpose, thereby avoiding duplicate tests. It has been funded by the Ministry for Digital Transformation.
BEST BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT IN TOKENISATION AND DIGITAL ASSETS
Asseto
ioBuilders
Asseto is a platform that enables banks and financial institutions to issue and manage tokenised assets and digital currency throughout their entire lifecycle: issuance, registration, corporate events, trading and settlement. It operates on any blockchain and integrates with existing systems without replacing them. It already has real-world use cases, such as Spain’s first multi-bank tokenised deposit, launched in partnership with Cecabank, and the regulated OpenBrick marketplace.
KeNOMIC
CALEA SL
Kenomic is an AI-powered platform that brings together the entire token launch process – design, validation, launch and management – in one place. Using its AI agent, teams design their token’s economic model in natural language; this is then subjected to thousands of simulations and given a robustness score. This helps to reduce the failure rate of projects with poorly designed models. It is entered in the AI category.
Democratising Music
The Muxic Exchange
The Muxic is a regulated platform that connects artists with their fans through the tokenisation of music rights. Emerging artists can raise funds through crowdfunding campaigns, whilst established artists can sell up to 50 per cent of the economic rights to their songs. This means that any fan can own a share of their favourite artist’s music from as little as 100 euros and receive the corresponding royalties.
BEST BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT FOR INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
TedIJI
Talan
Tediji is an e-signature and document time-stamping platform compliant with the eIDAS Regulation, which has been in operation since 2022. By using the Tezos blockchain as a secure ledger rather than complex certificate infrastructures, it reduces the cost to just a few cents per document – between two and three times less than the competition. This makes it possible to extend the use of e-signatures to high-volume processes such as human resources or supplier relations.
Verifiable traceability of the water cycle in Córdoba
EMACSA
Córdoba’s municipal water company is recording data from the La Golondrina wastewater treatment plant on a Hyperledger Besu network, starting with the removal of sludge, which is recycled as agricultural fertiliser. Any local resident can check via their web browser, without needing to register, that the published data matches the data signed at source. The aim is to gradually incorporate the entire water cycle, from abstraction to recycling.
WE CANN Trace
ACCURO
WE CANN Trace is a blockchain-based traceability layer for the agricultural platform developed by CTAEX (Accuro Technology) and CEDESA, focusing on hemp cultivation. Every relevant event, such as treatments or THC analyses, generates a digital fingerprint that is anchored on the ISBE Network, whilst sensitive data remains off-chain, in compliance with the GDPR. Inspectors, auditors and buyers can verify the origin of each batch using a QR code.
BEST BLOCKCHAIN PROJECT IN SUSTAINABILITY
GraCity
GRACITY INVESTMENTS
GraCity is an urban climate intelligence platform that combines IoT sensors, satellite data and AI to continuously measure and verify the actual impact of green infrastructure in cities. Blockchain acts as a verification layer that guarantees the integrity and traceability of the environmental evidence generated, transforming it into auditable and financeable data for local authorities, businesses, investors and regulators. Validated in a real-world pilot at the CIEC run by Madrid City Council, the platform is aligned with frameworks such as the CSRD, TNFD and ISO 14092.
DEEPFOREST
VOTTUN
DEEPFOREST integrates artificial intelligence and satellite imagery with blockchain and smart contracts to monitor young forests aged between 0 and 5 years and certify carbon credits in a traceable and verifiable manner. The platform develops new indices specifically tailored to the early stages of reforestation, transforming environmental data into immutable evidence that can be used for the certification and tokenisation of carbon credits, with the capacity to scale internationally.
SDDRDigital
Sercampo
SDDRDigital digitises the Deposit, Return and Refund System by assigning each container a unique, non-repeatable code via laser marking. Blockchain acts as a layer of trust that certifies the history of each unit, ensuring that the same container can only generate one valid refund. The model utilises existing collection networks, reducing infrastructure investment by 80 per cent compared with the traditional system and enabling 100 per cent coverage of the country.
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held on November the 4th 2026 at 6.00 pm at the Wizink Center Truss in Madrid, access through doors 64/65. Calle Jorge Juan 99. 28009 Madrid.an exclusive event for the blockchain community. If you would like to attend, please register here.
