Alastria is a non-profit association that promotes the digital economy by means of the development of distributed/Blockchain digital ledger technologies.
The project was created in mid-2017. It was launched as the Lyra Network in May and formalised as a non-profit association in October 2017, with the purpose of democratising access to Blockchain in our country and rapidly focusing on multi-sectoral international expansion.
Alastria has a clear vocation to be a pioneering benchmark project in the generation of new digital economy models. It therefore promotes its own self-innovation methodology that anticipates the needs of our society with regard to the use of products and services based on distributed technologies.
From the triple helix to the quadruple helix
The strategic approach by means of which Alastria evolves is based on the virtuous spiral methodology of innovation, growing in partnership with the private sector, public administrations and the academic world, with the three helices generating and sharing value.
Alastria’s Innovation Methodology adds focus on a fourth helix for the purpose of the interaction of citizens, because they are the true driving force of change to enable the digital economy to provide as many benefits as possible for our society.
From the sectoral to the multi-sectoral ecosystem
Alastria’s operational model is dynamic, evolving within a virtuous spiral to mobilise and energise its members. They are transformed as a result of their own innovation methodology and they use technology in a shared manner. The constant increase in the number of members (of different sizes and from different economic sectors) enables Alastria to capitalise on all the knowledge it obtains to transversally interact with as many sectors as possible and to continue to expand internationally throughout Europe.
If everything progresses as planned, a dynamic with new services and products in a multi-sector ecosystem environment can be generated in 2020 via the association.
