On November 8th, the Council and the European Parliament reached a provisional agreement on the new European digital identity framework. Since the initial provisional agreement on some of the main elements of the legislative proposal was adopted at the end of June this year, a series of in-depth technical meetings have been held to finalise a text that will allow the dossier to be completed in its entirety.
